So he had to flee from his country. He took shelter in a cave. The king was always in gloomy state for his country and subject. Suddenly he noticed a spider trying to reach the ceiling. It jumped to reach the ceiling but failed. He noticed the spider carefully. The spider tried again and again but failed. But it did not give up hope. It tried seven times and succeeded at last. This activity of the spider inspired him. He went to his country in disguise. Then he gathered an army and trained them. Next he attacked his enemy and won the battle. Thus King Robert Bruce was inspired by a spider.
