A poor girl, named Rina, worked in a rich man’s house. The housemaster was kind to her but the mistress was very cruel. She used to scold her now and then. One day while serving tea, Rina broke a cup and immediately the mistress got furious and assulted her. At that time, the house master was not at home. When he returned from his office, he saw that Rina was groaning under pain. She was about senseless. He wanted to take her to a doctor for treatment. But his cruel wife protested it vehemently. They exchanged hot talk between them. Yet the cruel mistress did not show pity for the poor girl although she was an unfortunate orphan. Rina anyhow managed to escape from the house and took shelter beside a road-side tea stall. The tea stall owner took her to a government hospital. She told everything to the doctors. Reporters and Human Rights activists were called. News spread all over the country. One of the Human Rights Organization filed a case against the unkind mistress. She was arrested and Rina was taken under the custody of the Human Rights Organization. They also took the responsibilty of Rina’s education.
